History/Background Information: 1 Pound Pietersburg issues of the ZAR government (Gouvernements Noot). Issued against the security of state owned farms with a 6% interest. Hand signed by the Acting Auditor General (AP Brugman) and Acting Treasurer General (PN De Villiers). Dated 1.4.1901 and printed on thicker paper.


Condition Notes: Two consecutive serial numbered notes in impressive VF condition. Retaining all the bold characteristics of the type. Rare and seldom offered as a consecutive pair. Beautiful notes with an incredible history.
