S. Africa (Pre-Reserve Bank): 1902 ZAR Te Velde 5 Pounds PMG Certified VF35 (Findlay Stamp)

History/Background Information: 5 Pound Te Velde issue of the ZAR government (Gouvernements Noot). Issued against the security of state owned farms with a 6% interest. Hand signed by the Acting Auditor General (AP Brugman) and Acting Treasurer General (PN De Villiers). Dated 1.4.1902 and printed on school exercise paper. Certified Very Fine 35 by PMG.

Condition Notes: An impressive example retaining all the bold characteristics of the type. Visible vertical creases and pinholes apparent. Rare and seldom offered and bearing the sought after 01.04.1902 date. Coupled with the Findlay stamp, this note is both desirable and scarce. A beautiful note with an incredible history.

Printage: 400
