History/Background Information: 5 Pound issue of the South African Reserve Bank dated 1928. Third issue of WH Clegg. Printed in England by St Lukes Printing Works.

Condition Notes: A scarcely seen issue of the first reserve bank governor. In admirable condition and very seldom seen better. In fact only two notes have achieved a higher grading at PMG at the time of listing. Very attractive coloration. Rare.
