This medal is struck in silver and is in fact a six pointed star with three long and three short points. The medal is attached to a ribbon by means of a v-shaped silver clevice which in turn is attached to the medal opposite one of the star points by means of a rimmed shield. On the shield is depicted in a relief a candle stick aloe with four leaves and three candles. The reverse of the medal bears in a relief the words "BEKAMPING VAN TERRORISME- COMBATING TERRORISM" in surcumscription around the official badge of the SA Police.
A silver bar was authorized to denote a subsequent award. This plain bar bears in the center a silver clasp corresponding to the design on the shield.
Come on guys, you are bidding on a rare piece of history. They don't make these anymore. :P
