In 1976, celebrating its 50th anniversary, the South African Wildlife Society, released a set of 24 medallions depicting South African animals, as a tribute to our wildlife heritage. Only 10,000 sets were made. Packed in the original wooden box, lined with velvet. Cast from STG-grade sterling silver, and plated in 24ct gold. Melting of the medallions would amount to over 800 grams of pure silver. The pictures shows the actual set.
