Western Air Command (WAC)
With its headquarters in Windhoek Western Air Command (W Air Comd) [Afr: Westelike Lugkommandement (W Lug Kmdmt)] controls all air operations in support of counter-insurgency missions, supply flights, evacuation of injured personnel and dropping supplies. Ongoing assistance to the inhab-itants of the northern areas includes flying in medical teams, supplies and food to drought-stricken and/or flooded areas.

Later became Sector Air Commands which closed down in 2003
