This is an authentic South African Defence Force (SADF) 44 Parachute Brigade Despatcher arm flash.
The patch was worn by members of the elite 44 Parachute Brigade who served as despatchers responsible for coordinating airborne drops and ensuring paratroopers and supplies were safely deployed from aircraft.

An excellent piece for collectors of South African military insignia, SADF uniforms, or airborne memorabilia.
The badge shows light wear consistent with age, adding to its authenticity and character.
