SADF 75th Anniversary 1987 .50 Browning machine gun (BMG) dummy "Steeds Kampione"

We have come across these with English writing ("still champions"), but this is the first Afrikaans one we've seen. It contains a spelling error ("steeds kampione" instead of "steeds kampioene"). 

Headstamp as follows:

  • A = Pretoria Metal Pressings (Armscor)
  • 80 = 1980
  • 12.7 = 12.7 x 99 case (12.7mm wide at the top, 99mm long)
  • R1M3 = 3rd modification of the R1M1 round

Total length about 138mm.
