This item is an authentic South African Defence Force Anti-Aircraft arm flash, associated with Charlie Company. The red and blue colour combination identifies the Anti-Aircraft branch of service.
The attached Western Province Command bar denotes the regional command to which the unit belonged. These flashes were worn on the shoulder of the SADF nutria brown uniform and date to the pre-1994 SADF era.
