An original South African Defence Force (SADF) officer's dress sword manufactured by the renowned WKC (Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Cie.) of Solingen, Germany.

The ricasso is marked with the WKC Solingen Germany knight's head logo and features the South African coat of arms with the motto "Ex Unitate Vires", identifying it as an SADF-era ceremonial sword. Stamped with the serial number 1910 and S.A. military stamp.

Features:

• Original polished stainless steel blade.
• WKC Solingen maker's mark.
• South African coat of arms etched on the blade.
• Serial number 1910 stamped on the ricasso.
• Three-bar nickel-plated guard.
• Black ribbed grip.
• Original matching number brown leather-covered scabbard with leather suspension loop.

Condition:
The blade remains bright and clean with an excellent polish and only light handling marks consistent with age. The hilt is tight, and the guard shows minor signs of wear. The leather-covered scabbard is in good overall condition with age-related wear and remains structurally sound. Overall, the sword presents very well and would make an excellent addition to a military or South African militaria collection.
