This South African Pattern 70 combat belt was used by the SADF, SAP, SWAPOL and Koevoet during the Border War and in foreign operations like the interventions during the Angolan and Mozambican civil wars.
This pattern was adopted by the South African Defense Force in the early 70's as a replacement for the earlier Pattern 61-64 then in use. This type of webbing was also supplied to UNITA among other forces supported by South Africa.
This variant has the press studs for fixing gear like canteens or magazine pouches and preventing these items moving along the belt. Condition as per images.
