Pattern 83 Battlejacket used by the SADF during the Border War. Considered by some to be the best assault vest still in use today. Made from waterproof cordura nylon in nutria brown colour. Consists of 2 main compartmens on back, 2 mag drop pouches or canteen pouches, 2 smoke grenade pouches, 2 grenade pouches, 1 map pouch and 4 devided mag pouches able to carry 8 mags. Original item manufactured by Specifico, Boputhatswana. Thick padded shoulder straps. All buckles, zips and straps intact. Soldiers personal information or other personalia may be written on vest. Note: Surplus goods bought in bulk. Though every effort is made to ensure that item is in a good condition, colour may have faded and soldier may have written on vest, but evertyhing in perfect working order.
