Short Description:

A South African Infantry Forces cap badge featuring the classic Bokkop design with an SWA scroll linked to SWATF units.

Full Description:

This badge is a South African Infantry Forces (SAI) cap badge, widely known as a Bokkop or buck head.
The version shown includes an impala head above a scroll marked SWA, which links it to the South West Africa Territorial Force (SWATF). These badges were used between 1977 and 1989 by SWATF Headquarters or area force units.
The Bokkop design has been a long-standing symbol of the South African Infantry since the First and Second World War eras, with this specific variation tied to the Border War period in South West Africa (now Namibia).
