Here we have on auction a well used SADF nutria padded R4 assault rifle carry-bag. - capable of carrying/ holding a r4/ r5 / ak47 and folding stock R1 etc.

These bags were I believe private purchase items available and offered at the SAWI mil shops on bases during the Border war - this bag does not have any unit badge on it - unmarked as far as Corps or Unit is concerned.

The bag is designed to accommodate a wide variety of long-guns or assault rifles and is sturdily made. sewn using heavyweight SADF NUTRIA cordura and nylon camo materials with reinforcing at the muzzle end. Heavy-duty double slider YKK zip allows quick access and ease of removal/ storage of the weapon. The bag is well padded throughout.

Bag is provided with external pouches for 2 x magazine s and a medium sized accessory pouch (zip).

There is an "oil" stain on the one side of the padded bag. Please see pics for further detail and as an indication of the carry-bag and its current state.

The mag pouches are fitted with Fix-lock buckles as a re typically used on the Recce Niemoller kit - some have become lost over the years and are missing, I will supply new replacements with the bag for easy fitting by the new owner should the auction be won, allowing the bag to be fully repaired/ restored.
