This laptop was an insurance claim. Someone tried to damage it to by smashing it. What they really achieved was a broken screen.
Basically I bought 4 of these notebooks from an insurance company. Assembled 2 and these are the left overs.
Included:
Parts tested well:
Sahara LE1N motherboard (good working order)
Intel Mobile 1.6ghz CPU (good working order)
Atheros AR5005 Wireless adapter (good working order)
Battery Lasts about 2h without a screen. (Normal computer screen used in testing) Would estimate about 1hr with a laptop screen (good working order but the rubber foot is missing)
Trackpad (good working order)
I do not have the original drivers disk, but I have a CD with all the drivers on for Windows XP.
Parts damaged but included:
Casing the hinge system is damaged.
The screen is included but cracked and not working.
The casing is not scratched, so if you are repairing an existing LE1N notebookyou can choose the best panels and use them.
Parts not included:
RAM - Uses DDR400 notebook memory (can be sourced, at R500 for 256MB (very expensive and I see many from time to time on BoB so I am not going to inflate costs unnecessarily)
If you need any help with assembling / disassembling I am available 9am - 7pm every day.
