Salvia Victoria blue - salvia farinacea the deep blue blooms of these beautiful plants have to be seen to be appreciated. They should bloom most of the year and provide some wonderful colour to your garden.
Sow in positions sheltered from the worst winds. Likes a sunny position and well drained soil. Sow preferable in spring and summer. Frost tolerant but protect very young plants. Best sown in seedling trays (see our plastic seedling trays) and then transplanted when established. This plant is a perennial and will provide beauty for a long time.
In frosty areas, expect them to die back in winter, and reshoot in spring. This plant has survived drought in Adelaide, E Cape, with minimal watering, as well as surviving well during a wet summer. A beautiful and hardy plant once established.
Beautiful in beds, borders containers. These flowers are a beautiful intese colour, and my photographs do not do justice to them.
