samsung writemaster cd/dvd writers

These drives have been used for a period of 6-8 months in a home computor, mainly backing up documents, music and general usage.

I replace my cd/dvd writers every 6-8 months out of habit, as there is nothing more frustrating, than having the information on your computor, and you can do nothing with it. It happened once, a long time ago, and i swore it would never ever happen again.

They used to burn a cd in 3 minutes now they take wee bit longer. 

They still work effectively, They have never been dropped or mis-handled.

I am of the old school, and had them packed away, for the "just in case". But my hubby layed down the law and said get rid what you are not using, so hense...
