SANDF Commando Closure Commemoration Medal Set Plus Badges.

A South African National Defense Force Commando Closure Commemorative Medal set including full-sized medal, miniature medal, medal bars and original box.  The full-sized medal is numbered "021730".  Box states "Cpl. J. Van Niekerk, Van Rhynsdorp Comdo" and "21370 of 30 000".  The set comes with 1 x Commando cap badge and 2 x collar badges.

The Closure Commemoration Medal is a military commemoration medal which was instituted by the President of the Republic of South Africa in 2010, to commemorate the disbandment of the Commandos, the rural defence component of the South African National Defence Force.

These medals are becoming harder to find and have become highly collectable in their own right.  Complete and in excellent condition.
