Lotus isnt just a live album, its a triple-LP psychedelic sermon, wrapped in a six-panel gatefold that unfolds like a stoned vision of the afterlife. Visually graded: disc ones a strong VG, disc twos VG plus, disc threes VG, and all three spin with heat and grace. The covers good plus, no inserts, but still opens up like a spaceship made of cardboard and ambition. This is Santana at full tilt: jazz fusion, Latin fire, out-of-body wanderings, and not a single note played for radio.

VINYL GRADING:
NM (Near Mint): Pretty much like a new LP but it isn't sealed.
VG+ (Very Good +): Shows some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it.
VG (Very Good): May exhibit minor surface marks with some mild surface noise that does not affect or overpower the music.
G+ (Good Plus): Readily playable but may have numerous light scratches or marks that will affect music quality.
G (Good): Heavier wear and surface noise, but will still play.

COVER (SLEEVE) GRADING:
NM: Like new.
VG+: May have light corner bumps or very minor scuffmarks.
VG: Rougher corners, creasing to cover and may have some light splitting at the seams and ringwear with possible light tape repair.
G+: Heavier tape repair, split seams, significant ringwear - defects described under VG are exacerbated.
G: Not really good enough - significant tears, water damage, stains etc.
