Introduction:

The Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT is a high quality joystick, manufactured in Japan by Sanwa Denshi Co. This is the joystick of choice for fighting game enthusiasts, especially Street Fighter fanatics. Widely used in MadCatz & QanBa fight sticks and many Japanese arcade machines. Each joystick comes complete with a flat mounting plate, 2 x dust covers, TP-MA board with soldered microswitches & a 35mm ball top handle. This joystick features light spring pressure but can easily be modified if you prefer a stiffer feel, by adding a different spring, such as a Seimitsu LS-55 spring 2LB tension spring or 4LB tension spring.

By default, this joystick has a square restrictor gate and is set to 8 way. This can easily be changed to 4 way mode by simply removing the plastic restrictor, lifting the centre piece and rotating it to the 4 way position. We also sell the Sanwa GT Y Octagonal Gate if you prefer more precise 8 way control for games like Street Fighter, which will allow you to pull off combo moves with ease.
