The Sanyo Xacti VPC-WH1 allows users to capture high-definition (1280x720) 30 fps footage without worrying about the effects of water or snow thanks to its waterproof performance up to 3 meters (10 feet). Whether you are out in the rain, at the beach or on the ski slopes, you can depend on the WH1 to capture all the action.
The VPC-WH1 was awarded IPX8 certification (which requires the device to operate when fully submersed in water) based on JIS C 0920 waterproofing guidelines. Being waterproof down to 3 m (10 feet), the WH1 gives you the freedom to shoot the action in any weather and in any season, whether it’s a winter sport
*2, a marine sport, or just a rainy day. Furthermore, it employs the advanced compression technology of MPEG-4 AVC/H.264, a video format that’s easy to handle on your PC and handy for web applications. The WH1 records high-definition 720p video in a waterproof body.
Keeping your finger down on the Photo button causes the camera to continuously load images. After capturing the image you want, remove your finger and the just-loaded data is recorded onto an SD card. This is what we call reverse sequential shooting—a new method that prevents you from missing sudden photo opportunities. Meanwhile, the WH1’s characteristic waterproof mode helps you capture underwater images with more natural color.
Thanks to the ISO-standard MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format, video files are as easy to handle as photo images shot with a regular digital camera. It’s quick and easy to save files on a PC and upload them onto a web page to share with friends and family.
