This auction is for a navy blue SAP STF/ riot squad nylon battle-jacket as used by the Special Task Force (STF) pre-1994.

This is the first such vest that I have seen in this configuration and seems pretty unique - a very well laid-out vest/ thought out design well suited to riot/ urban ops.

The vest is well-constructed and has a very well thought out design/ layput - catering for 37mm stopper/ 40mm baton rounds, shotgun ammo, R1 mags and smoke/ teargas grenades etc. with a single 1l canteen at the rear. On the top rear is a pouch to hold misc. supplies and 2 x 300m signal flares as well!

The front mag/ smk grenade pouches feature a drop-down shotgun ammo tray over each pouch - holds enough bird-shot for riot control!

The battle-jacket is in good used condition with no damage - empty shot-shells shown for demo purposes and NOT included in this auction. Large rear pouch on back (holds 2l SADF water bottle).

This is a rare vest and surely will be sought after by serious SA militaria collectors.

Please note that the KZN homelands Police camo used as a background is not included in this auction.
