South African Police Pre-1994 Commissioned Officer's ceremonial and parade sword. A unique piece of Africana and hard to find. Comes with silver pommeled scabbard cap and leather scabbard as well as the leather frog with which it is attached to the belt called a Sam Brown. Frog is stamped 'SAP'. The serial number 4894 is etched onto the blade below the manufacturer's mark 'WKC Solingen'. Germany. On the reverse is the SA Coat of Arms with the motto 'Ex Unitate Vires'
