This is a genuine SAR steam locomotive whistle, in good working condition. These are now difficult to obtain. The mass (brass/bronze) is 8.6 kg and the current scrap value alone is around R500. Installing it above your ceiling, connected to a suitable reservoir of compressed air, and being activated by means of your front door bell switch, would certainly impress your friends!
