SAR Brass Locomotive Builder's Plate: North British Loco Co.1910: Class 3R ("Hendrie D")

This manufacturer's brass works plate (Works Number 19228) was assigned to SAR Class 3R, No 1462. Delivered from the Hyde Park Works of the North British Locomotive Company, Glasgow in 1910, these locomotives were designed by D.A.Hendrie for handling goods traffic on the Natal Main Line.
