This aluminium numberplate (NG118) is from a Class NG15 Narrow Gauge locomotive. These engines, which were last used on the 285km Port Elizabeth - Avontuur line, were delivered by the German builders, Henschel & Sohn in 1939, for use in the then South West Africa. They were transferred to the Avontuur line in 1960. Mass of plate 3kg. P&P in SA R60.   NB. The photo is of NG120, not NG118 as stated, but the same class.
