Solid brass vacuum pump-Stamped SAR/SAS on the rear. It also has the letter U which denotes Union of South Africa and an arrow through the U,which I have been told is the period during the second world war.

The gauge was apparently used to test the brakes and this was at the Salt River shunting yards in Cape Town.

The brass is still in very good condition,not sure if the gauge is working,
