Hardcover printed by SA Naval Printing Press 1990. The jacket is whole, but marked and worn, with several chips and short tears to edges. The blue faux leather boards with gilt titling are square and sharp. There is some tanning to the initial and last few pages, and the number 27 in marker on the title page, but the pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. Signed and dated 15/6/1990 on the first end-paper by Vice-Admiral Putter, Chief of the Navy, who wrote the foreword, Officer Commanding, Commander D. Barrick, and Eileen Payne, to whom the book is dedicated.
