Sasha dolls were designed by the formidable Sasha Morgenthaler, and produced in both Germany and the UK. German dolls were always marked, whereas British made Sashas never were, but had a wrist tag attached. These dolls were produced in the UK from 1965, for about a twenty year period. The factory was based somewhere in Cheshire. This red-haired girl was introduced in 1967, and as far I am aware she was in production until 1970. She has the early hand painted eyes. She is wearing her original dungarees and sandals: Very Women’s Lib! She is in un-played-with condition. Apart form her knickers elastic which is shot, and her hair which is slightly untidy, she is in mint condition. She has a centre-parting and fringe. This is the earliest Sasha I have ever owned. These early Sashas are slightly smaller than the later ones. She stands 41 cm tall. Please add R38 for postage.
