Kigelia africana is a tropical African tree known for it's huge fruits and beautiful flowers.
Its a fairly fast growing tree. Young trees need regular watering, but older established trees are draught tolerant.
It can only manage light frost up to -3*C. So not suitable for area's that experience black frost.
This tree has a long history in traditional African medicine,
Best sown in spring, soak the seeds in warm water for 12 to 24 hours before sowing.
