THIS IS A VINTAGE 1992 SCALEXTRIC BENETTON FORD F1 SLOT CAR WITH ALESSANDRO NANINI IN THE DRIVING SEAT. SCALE 1:32 SCALEXTRIC COMPATIBLE. IT IS MISSING THE RIGHT REAR GOODYEAR TYRE.
 
RELEASED FOR 5 YEARS FROM 1990 TO 1994 THE BENETTON FORD WAS A CLASSIC RACING CAR OF THAT ERA CHARACTERISED WITH BRIGHT COLOURS IN RED, YELLOW, BLUE AND GREEN.
 
The Benetton Formula 1 racing team participated in Grand Prixs from 1986 to 2001.
The B189's only F1 win was at the 1989 Japanese Grand Prix.
 
Scalextric reproduced the top cars in immaculate detail for enthusiasts to study and admire. Their cars featured Magnatraction and are well matched in specification. It is up to you to become the champion by superior racing skill and judgement.

Scalextric is a brand of slot car racing systems, first introduced in the late 1950s. It features miniature cars that race on a special track, powered by a slot in the middle of each lane. The brand offers a variety of sets, including starter kits and digital control systems. 
Scalextric was created by Bertram "Fred" Francis in the 1950s, who adapted his Scalex clockwork cars to use an electric motor and slotted track. Most Scalextric models are 1:32 scale, and newer Scalextric cars can generally run on older layouts. 
Scalextric is a product of Hornby Hobbies, a UK-based company that also produces other model railway, die-cast model, and hobby brands.
