Model Slot Proteus debuted in 2001

The Spanish manufacturer Model Slot Proteus debuted in 2001 with the Heuliez Pregunta. This slot car company (now closed) released high qualitydesigned models for slot car enthusiasts and  collectors.

The Lamborgini Murcielago is a model with a very high level of detail. The chassis and parts look like a part of any other slot car make, but the fairly stiff plastic is perfectly flat and for this reason the ideal basis for a high performance race model. The tires give excellent grip. The magnet is strong but allows some sliding.The flat motor powering system has been changed for cables. The motor, which is fixed to a sub-frame, has an inline position in this model. 

Just like the real thing

The bodies of the replicas of Proteus show the exact dimensions of the real cars. The bodywork of the models looks extremely realistic.
