SCALEXTRIC Slot Car Set : CS 51 (dating from mid 1970's)

SCALEXTRIC SC51 slot car set dating from the mid 1970's: consisting of 2 x Scalletti Arrow cars: one in working order the other only good for spare parts, 2 x hand throttles, both in working order, but the trigger lever of one repaired with epoxy, 2x 45 degree curved tracks, 4x 90 degree curved tracks, 6x long straight tracks (one with starting line), 8x crash barriers, 5x track supports and 5x banking plates.  The set is in good second hand condition given its age and in working order with the exception of the one car. Please note the following defects: One car is in parts and without a motor and is only good for spares.  Detail parts of the working car like exhaust pipes have broken off and the tyres are perished and require replacement, as do the pick-up contacts. The tips of some of the track-end contacts have broken off with use and the condition of the guard barriers is commensurate with many years of use although visually in fair condition.  The set is supplied in its original box although a bit broken, particularly the lid, is adhesive tape free barring the tape originally used to seal the box.  The original instruction leaflets are also present, although a bit discoloured and possibly slightly water damaged.  The power supply for the set has been listed separately.
