1970's Minimalist classic cabinet from Asko with beautifully crafted wood work, restored original ash wood exterior and
original stained interior.


Asko, of Finland had an amazing line up of some of the leading Scandinavian designers of the 20th Century, including Tapio Wirkkala, Maija Heikinheimo, Voitto Haapalainen and of course Earo Aarnio – of ball chair fame, most notably.

We recently restored our Asko set and was overwhelmed by the lighter Ashwood that came through. We kept all the interiors dark giving it a strong contrast. Staining wood was very common in the 60's. We prefer the natural wood grain.
