Scandinavian Nymolle Denmark vase by Bjorn Wiinblad circa 1960's

Offered for sale is a collectible and beautifully styled and decorated Nymolle vase by famous Danish designer Bjorn Wiinblad. This is a small cylindrical posy vase with a slightly flattened elliptical shape decorated with a transfer/decal printed motif in black on an off white ground . The design is called Julia and seems to be a quirky interpretation of the Romeo and Juliet Italianate  legend . Julia is posed in a small balcony greeting her suitor with a raised hand ; the male figure is serenading her with a madrigal, while a rather irregularly shaped round moon hovers. The sides of the vase are richly decorated with details of a garden setting, topiary, espaliers, and a tall house with tessellated roof. The vase is signed in the image with the artists facsimile signature as well as on the base.
