Scarce Royal Doulton 'Golliwog' Figurine (HN1979)

This scarce, very early, hand painted Royal Doulton porcelain figurine from the 'Child Classics' series, is of a young boy wearing patterned white dungarees, a pink hat and walking with his doll in hand. There were two colourways in this scarce figure, both were designed by 'Leslie Harradine'. This one titled 'Golliwog' (HN1979) was produced from 1945 to 1959, and the other colourway (blue dungarees with green hat) was produced between 1949 to 1955. This lovely figurine is in excellent condition and carries the 'Royal Doulton' backstamp on the base. It stands 13,5cm high and measures 7cm at its widest.
