Cover blurb:
"The Leopard is surely one of the world’s most unusual animals and Peter Turnbull-Kemp the well known Game Ranger who has devoted the better part of his life studying the habits and ways of life of this unique member of the cat tribe has produced a book that will surely become the recognised authority on the subject.
Ranging from the animal in ancient times the superstitions and witchcraft with which it was – and still is – associated it gives details on how the Leopard lives how it hunts its life span how it treats its young in fact everything that can be told is given in a style that will appeal to the ordinary reader.
The scientific angle has not been forgotten here is material that will appeal to the student of wild life and in addition the colloquial and native names are given.
Here is a book therefore that will prove fascinating to the multitude who enjoy reading about animals and their way of life.””
Review: Mainly based on the author's vast experience in South Africa. Chapters on the man eating leopards and quoting Jim Corbett throughout in that chapter. A very well done classic work!
