Scarce - Victorian 'Conical or Beaufort' Whistle
This very early, scarce, white metal 'Conical or Beaufort' whistle from the late 1800's is in excellent condition and works well. It has no makers marks anywhere but is very similar to the early ones made by 'W. Dowler & Sons' in Birmingham. The whistle measures 6,8cm in length.
Note: This whistle belonged to the late Mervyn Mitton, author of the book 'The Policeman's Lot' (A reference book on antique British police equipment).
