This scarce book used to belong to a library but remained in a very good condition  >>>  About the attack on & evacuation & demolition of the Vietnamese village of Ben Suc, launched in the second week of January, 1967, in Binh Duong Province to clear the Iron Triangle area of the National Liberation Front (Vietcong) & demolish villages & jungle there to make it impossible for the Vietcong ever to re-establish themselves in the area. It was the largest operation of the war up to that time, planned & executed entirely by the Americans without the advance knowledge of any Vietnamese in the province.  It was the first move in a newly devised long-term war strategy in which large American forces would engage main enemy forces & destroy their jungle bases - The operation reversed the search-&-destroy method; this time they would destroy first & search later in the interrogation rooms.                                                           (Now why does all this sound so familiar ?)      * Vietnam * War * Military *.
