Application:

An auger handle / rod is placed through the eye and the auger is turned by hand to bore.

For boring a wide range of holes in hardwoods in a variety of locations, especially when electrical power is unavailable.

How it works:

A branch or dowel is inserted in the eye of the auger to become the handle to turn the auger drill bit by hand. The handle is not included.

The pilot guide is threaded to 'pull' the drill bit into the wood. The cutting edge forms part of the auger helix to assist the drill bit with the removal of shavings.

WARNING: Using any tool can be dangerous. Always select the right tool for the job.
