The sgian dubh was worn by highland regiments of the army and civilians alike. Traditionally tucked into the top of the sock / hose. When translated Sgian Dubh means "black knife" - in terms of the hidden aspect of the knife.
This specific Sgian Dubh is around 15 years old plus ............a great item for its age.
