Its spherical, highly porous aluminaoxide media binds phosphate and silicate irreversibly, helping to control nutrient levels that fuel algae growth and reduce water clarity. PhosGuard works rapidly and can be used in a variety of filtration systems to support cleaner, healthier water conditions.

Usage

• Rinse PhosGuard lightly before use to remove dust

• Prewet media by adding to twice its volume of freshwater, then rinse

• Place in a filter media bag, media chamber, or canister filter in a highflow area

• Use ~85ml per 200L saltwater or 400L freshwater initially

• Leave media in place for around 4days, then test phosphate/silicate levels

• Replace media when phosphate begins to rise again

• Avoid overdosing in sensitive or phosphatebuffered freshwater tanks
