Germination: Easily and quickly
Leaf: Pinnate, 8 to 12 leaves leaflets green on both sides. 100 to 150 leaflets, 8-10 feet long.
Trunk: Crownshaft generally green but occasionally brownish., Light gray trunk barely enlarged at its base.,
Flower: Amethyst flowers. Flower stalk coming from below the crownshaft.
Fruit: red. 1.5 cm. oval.

This is an exceptionally beautiful palm, because of it's neat straight trunk which has attractive bands, and a large smooth leaf sheath. Seaforthia also sports attractive cascading flower spikes, which later produce bright red "berries" in autumn.

All seeds undergo several preparation phases to ensure that dormancy is broken, and that no harmful pathogens are present.
