SEAGATE 1TB drive

Offering the best of any portable external hard drive out there on the market today, Seagate's Backup Plus 1TB USB 3.0 Portable hard drive is the only 1TB portable drive worth recommending. Not only is it a high-quality drive, but the software behind it is exceptional as well, allowing backups via both other local drives and the cloud. The Backup Plus comes equipped with a USB 3.0 port, but can easily be swapped to a Thunderbolt or Fireware 800 port with the help of an adapter, though I'm not sure why you'd ever go back to Firewire 800 at this point. If you use both a Mac and a PC, you can even use it in NTFS format on both, as the drive comes pre-installed with a NTFS driver for Mac.
