This item is secondhand and in good condition. 'The farm was named in 1704 when the settlers returned from an arduous journey to find their livestock gone and their home burnt down - hence the name Allesverloren meaning 'all is lost'. Present owner, Danie Malan is the fifth generation on the farm, continuing the pioneering winemaking tradition of his forefathers who acquired the farm in 1872. For the last four decades the Malan family have produced this now legendary fortified wine using traditional Portuguese varietals. Note the toasty wood on the nose with nutty and raisin berry undertones followed by a creamy, soft palate of ripe fruits'. 20,0% volume and contains sulphites.
