This item is secondhand and in good condition. The Alexander Fontein vineyards of the coastal region enjoy a cool and maritime climate but have to follow faithfully the intermittent ribbons of terra rossa soil. Only this red clay can hold enough of the winter rains and yield the quality of fruit to make this excellent wine. The Cape Floral Kingdom is the richest reservoir of plant species in the world comprising 9600 plant species. The Darling area is home to 600 of these species flowering from August to September each year. Gladiolus Carinatus, commonly known as 'blou pypie', thrives on the terroir and symbolises the unique character and quality of the wines.
