Vrede en Lust is a modern winery built on a viticultural heritage of more than 300 years. Blending high quality red wines of elegance and complexity is our passion. In 1689, the Reverend Pierre Simond founded the Cape's first Huguenot Parish, located on Vrede en Lust. The Simond is an accessible medium-bodied noble red blend. It shows chocolate, black fruits and spices on the nose, with a well-balanced, soft palate and polished tannin finish.
