SECRECY AND POWER - The Life of J. Edgar Hoover (by RICHARD GID POWERS)
As head of the FBI from 1924 until his death in 1972, J Edgar Hoover created a unique role for himself in Americal life and turned the FBI into an indispensable part of society. Richard Powers provides compelling insight into the political agendas of Hoover and the disparities created by the FBI and Washington under the rule of J. Edgar Hoover. Such was the notoriety of J. Edgar Hoover that he was an enemy of Martin Luther King and many others for the FBI files he kept of them.
The book makes compelling reading.
The book is not new but only the jacket shows signs of wear and tear. The rest of the book has no damage.
