MOMIJI DOLL - FLOWERS 2

Momiji Dolls were inspired by traditional folk-art in northern Japan called Kokeshi.
These hand painted dolls are different from traditional Kokeshi dolls

in that they are made from resin, not wood, 

and contain a small space in the base.

Inside this base is a small folded card for a secret message of greeting

and is often used to pass secret messages between friends.

Mojiji dolls are Friendship Dolls, typically given to others

to show friendship and love.
