These are must have plants to grow in Africa, where water is becoming a precious commodity.  They only require watering when their foliage appears to be shrinking.  They need to be planted in well draining soil, and in sunny locations. 

Sedums, commonly known as Stonecrops, are a versatile and low maintenance solution for filling small spaces in many garden situations. Great effects can be achieved where it can spill between rock crevices, over walls or other edges. Alternatively allow enough space to form a cushion-like mound as a highly textural ground cover. Excellent use in rockeries, borders containers, ground covers.
